Our Picture Hanging & Lighting Systems combine professional artwork display with integrated lighting, making them the perfect solution for art galleries, exhibitions, retail shops, offices, and modern interiors. These advanced systems feature built-in 12-volt power supply rails, allowing lights and picture hanging cables to be added, removed, or repositioned safely even while the system remains switched on.
Available in both wall-mounted and ceiling-mounted options, the system offers maximum flexibility for displaying and illuminating artwork. Lights can easily be inserted or removed from any point along the rail simply by pushing them in or pulling them out. At the same time, pictures can be adjusted left to right or up and down without drilling new holes or damaging walls.
The hanging system also allows multiple pictures to be displayed vertically on the same cable by adding extra hooks. Using cobra fittings, cables can be inserted or removed from any position along the rail, making it easy to rearrange displays quickly and efficiently.
Our lighting armatures are compatible with both LED and halogen lamps. LED lamps are energy-efficient, long-lasting, and produce no infrared radiation, making them ideal for protecting artwork. Halogen lamps provide a warmer colour tone and stronger light intensity but generate more heat, which may affect artwork colours over time.
Different lens options are available to create the desired lighting effect. Clear lenses produce a sharp, focused beam of light, while matt lenses create a softer and more diffused illumination. Generally, one light is suitable for pictures up to 1 metre wide, while larger artwork may require two lights for even coverage.
Our multi-rail systems can also be used purely for lighting applications, especially for illuminating suspended or wall-mounted glass shelves in retail stores, showrooms, and residential interiors.
For optimal performance, a maximum of 12 metres of rail can be connected to one 96W power supply. This setup can operate up to 12 LED lamps of 3W each or 4 halogen lamps of 20W each. Additional power supplies are required when using more lights or longer rail systems. Independent circuits should always be created when using multiple adapters.
For continuous wall installations, rails can be divided with discreet end pieces to create separate circuits while keeping joints almost invisible. Power supplies must never be connected together directly or indirectly, and rail sections connected to different power supplies should never be joined.
Please note that power supplies are not dimmable. Connecting external switches or dimmers is strongly discouraged, as doing so will void the system warranty.
